Day at the Senior center
One of the volunteer events we participated in this past semester was spending the afternoon at Broke dale Senior Center. We were able to spend some time and get to know the residents. They were so excited to see us and make some Christmas crafts! Many of the residents were there the entire time making crafts with us, as we were leaving they expressed how excited they were for us to come visit them again. This was a very successful event and it is something we are likely going to do this semester. Hope to see you there!
NAU Dance Marathon
This Past Saturday NACE was able to participate in the 2019 NAU Dance Marathon! Dance Marathon is a movement that benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals which is a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for more than 170 pediatric hospitals across North America! At this event we were able to hear stories from the children and families that have been affected by illnesses, the opportunity to speak with the children and there was also a station to write encouraging messages to children that are in the hospital. Our members got to decorate shirts, enjoy yummy snacks, spend time with our NACE fam and dance of Course! Over all it was a very rewarding and fun experience, we hope to see you all there next year!
